Peter Fritzenwallner
Peter Fritzenwallner is well known for his unconventional performances, which consist of sculptural and installation elements made from simple materials. At first glance, his art provokes irritation, is not self-explanatory, it poses questions – and awakens the interest and curiosity of the audience. The audience’s reaction and participation make them part of the performance.
Peter Fritzenwallner was invited to propose a design for a walk-in sculpture in Altoona Park as part of the collaborative process with Public Art Lower Austria (KOERNOE). The polyphonic selection process also involved the participation and contribution of the co-creators from the Kunstideenwerkstatt (art ideas workshop) and the Children’s Advisory Board. His competition proposal Moonhouse (2022) was presented in the exhibition Species of Spaces and Other Pieces.
