Kindergartens

First, we observe, touch, and feel the Archipelago and its various materials, niches, and flowing, rough, soft, and hard elements. The children move around in light and shadows, stretch out on the floor, feel the drafts of air in their hair. Long before we begin to perceive with our senses after birth, we develop while still in the womb the ability to feel, touch, and sense, as well as perceive balance and depth. But when do we start dreaming? What do we dream about in the first days of our lives? And how do these dreams influence our further development? Dream worlds are created with paper, textiles, and colors.

Where do people dream? What sense of time do they have in their dreams? What does daydreaming mean? Can people dream together? And what will dreams look like in the future? Participants exchange their own ideas and stories about dreams. Afterwards, dreams can be painted on pillowcases, carved into scented soaps, or blown into the sky as soap bubbles.

From dream to material: here sand, earth, pigments, parts of plants, or clay form the basis of the artistic work. Because we make paint ourselves—using natural and regional materials. The glass muller moves in circles over the mirror. Bright red, brown, or yellow emerge from underneath. How liquid should the paint be? And how does it smell? Where can the paint be applied? Paper mounted on wood invites you to paint.
