Toshi's Gift おくリもの
Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam (JPN)
Toshi’s Gift おくリもの is an interactive, three-dimensional textile landscape made of crocheted hexagons, open pockets, and hanging pendant bodies. It invites you to an imaginative and lively exploration of colours and shapes and is a stimulating space to play. Children can move upwards, from pocket to pocket, until they reach a large surface on which they can run, slide, jump, and rest. The rhythmic movement is reminiscent of the feeling of floating in the sea; it stimulates deeper parts of the brain while challenging a child’s vision, feeling, movement, and balance. The artist Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam developed this large-scale installation especially for the KinderKunstLabor.
