Sylvie Fleury

Sylvie Fleury is a Swiss artist best known for her works in the fields of conceptual art and pop art. Encompassing installations, sculptures, paintings, and photographs, her multi-faceted oeuvre often situates iconic objects such as cars, handbags, and cosmetic products in an artistic context and typically features gleaming, luxurious materials such as chrome, stainless steel, and glass. 
Her works explore themes such as consumer culture, beauty, status symbols, superficiality, and the role of women in society, drawing on imagery from the worlds of fashion, advertising, and luxury to both question and satirize their societal significance.

Her work W6 (2000) is on view in the exhibition Paper, Rock, Scissors – Materials and Tools of Art (2025).
