Daniela Brasil
Daniela Brasil is a Brazilian artist and urbanist based in Graz since 2010. Her works are typically socially engaged projects encompassing installations, playful and physical encounters, texts and stories. The artist is particularly interested in co-creation, transformation, and learning processes that valorise the pluriverse.
The artist was invited to propose a design for a walk-in sculpture in Altoona Park as part of the collaborative process with Public Art Lower Austria (KOERNOE). The polyphonic selection process also involved the participation and contribution of the co-creators from the Kunstideenwerkstatt (art ideas workshop) and the Children’s Advisory Board. Her work Feathers of her Childhood (2023) was presented in the exhibition Species of Spaces and Other Pieces.
