Anton Kats
Anton Kats is an artist, musician, and researcher whose practice spans performance, sound art, installation, and participatory projects, often blurring the boundaries between art and social engagement. He has earned international recognition for his works, which explore themes such as migration, community, and urban transformation.
Kats’s projects are characterised by their collaborative nature as he frequently works together with local communities and various social groups to create collective artistic experiences. A main focus in his work is the investigation of sound and its social dimensions, which is reflected in his musical practice and sound installations.
For the KinderKunstLabor, he conceived the project Afterlife Sound System. Recycling. Recovery. Recreation and organised a co-creation project together with the Kunstideenwerkstatt (art ideas workshop).
